The EuroGeoSurveys SRIA 2025-2034: Building a Sustainable Geological Service for Europe

March 14, 2025

EGS's SRIA outlines clear goals, priorities, and actions that will support the energy transition and enhance European competitiveness. By focusing on geoscientific data, knowledge, and the subsurface, we aim to address critical challenges such as climate change, energy security, and resource sustainability.

With research, innovation, and collaboration at its core, our SRIA serves as the scientific foundation for the vision of a Geological Service for Europe – a sustainable, data-driven service providing essential geoscientific insights for policymakers, industry, and citizens alike.

EuroGeoSurveys brings together 37 national and regional geological survey organisations and over 10,000 geoscientists across Europe. Through harmonised data and expert networks, we support the EU’s strategic goals, including the European Green Deal and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Together, we are shaping a sustainable future, driven by data and innovation.
