Open Stakeholder Consultation - EuroGeoSurveys Strategic Research & Innovation Agenda

October 12, 2026

Following on from in depth discussion at the recent GSEU Day 2026 event on “Future Priorities for the EuroGeoSurveys Strategic Research & Innovation Agenda”, we are now launching a public consultation to consider any final comments from our stakeholder community on the latest draft updates to the EuroGeoSurveys Strategic Research & Innovation Agenda (SRIA), which sets out an R&I framework to support sustainable use and management of Europe’s geological resources. This SRIA, which is updated every few years to ensure it remains fit for purpose, serves as the scientific foundation for our vision of a Geological Service for Europe — a permanent, sustainable and data-driven service providing critical insights for European policymakers, industries, and citizens, addressing challenges including climate change, energy security, and resource sustainability.

Key details to take part in this consultation

Share your comments here.

The latest draft update of the SRIA is available here.

Deadline: 20 October 2026

Any feedback you provide will be taken into account as part of the final revisions and refinements to the EGS SRIA.

All comments are very much appreciated!
