Presentation of the new edition of the book Minerals in your Life in Nova Gorica, Slovenia

May 26, 2025

Ten years ago, the EuroGeoSurveys book Minerals in Your Life shed light on how minerals underpin our everyday lives - from smartphones to medicines. Today, as the world accelerates toward a green energy future, the upcoming second edition underscores Europe’s urgent need for sustainable and secure mineral sourcing.

The new edition was presented on 20 May 2025 at the Xcenter in Nova Gorica, this year’s European Capital of Culture. The event offered an inspiring evening of discussion around the vital role raw materials play in modern society, fittingly held in a borderless city that, like geology itself, transcends boundaries.

Stay tuned, the book will be available soon!
