Europe’s Mineral Raw Materials Potential Highlighted in Toronto with Support from GSEU

March 2, 2026

Following the strong interest generated during Raw Materials Week in Brussels last November, the session Unlocking Europe’s Mineral Raw Materials Potential: New Data, New Projects, New Opportunities was held at the PDAC Convention in Toronto, Canada on 1 March 2026. The event brought together more than 130 participants from across the global exploration ecosystem, including explorers, investors, industry representatives, policymakers, and geological surveys.

Organised by EuroGeoSurveys and the European Technology Platform for Sustainable Mineral Resources (ETP SMR), and supported by the GSEU project, the event highlighted how Europe is advancing mineral raw materials exploration through high-quality geoscience data, active exploration and development projects, and financing opportunities.

The discussions showcased Europe’s growing potential as an attractive destination for mineral exploration and investment, underpinned by publicly available geological information and coordinated European initiatives.

A summary of the session is now available, capturing the key insights shared during the event.
