The Commission on the Management and Application of Geoscience Information (CGI) of the International Union of Geological Sciences (IUGS), in collaboration with the IUGS Deep-time Digital Earth project, hosted a workshop on the status and future of global geoscience information standards in Suzhou, China, from 7 to 10 November 2023. The aim of the event was to discuss important issues related to geoscience information and to explore progress in standards. During the workshop, Jasna Ε inigoj (GeoZS) gave a presentation entitled EGDI - From Data to Knowledge.
