February 24, 2025

The IRTC25: From Raw Material Policies to Practice conference took place from 19 to 21 February 2025 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Around 200 researchers, industry players, policy makers and thought leaders discussed the latest innovations and strategies shaping the future of critical raw materials. Over three dynamic days, participants from around the world came together to explore the most pressing issues and new advances in critical raw materials and to discuss how policies can be put into practice.

The GSEU project was presented in the Spotlight session on European Raw Materials projects by Dr Meta Dobnikar, GeoZS. She gave a general overview of the project and introduced the EU ICE-SRM activities. Together with other presenters from the CiRCLETECH, Raw Material Radar, REPTIS and SCRREEN3 projects, she took part in a panel discussion in which she explained the objectives of EU ICE-SRM and the ambitious goals until the end of the project in 2027 and beyond.
