On behalf of EuroGeoSurveys, the Geological Service for Europe project (GSEU), and the International Raw Materials Observatory (INTRAW), we are pleased to invite you to participate in the online workshop “Data Needs and Sources for Compliance with the EU Critical Raw Materials Act”, to be held on 17 April 2026 from 12:00–14:00 CET.
About the Event
The EU Critical Raw Materials Act (CRMA), which entered into force in May 2024, establishes a framework to strengthen the EU’s resilience and strategic autonomy in the supply of critical raw materials. In this context, Member States are required to provide robust data to support monitoring and stress testing of supply chains.
This workshop will bring together representatives from National Geological Surveys, Mining Directorates, and the European Commission to:
- Clarify data reporting obligations under the CRMA;
- Identify existing data sources, gaps, and challenges;
- Explore methodologies for supply chain stress testing;
- Present a practical data extraction example from a minerals intelligence platform.
