The establishment of the European International Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Resource Management is a part of the GSEU project. ICE-SRM EU operates as a network of partners and experts to promote and build capacity for the United Nations Framework Classification (UNFC) and to support the United Nations Resource Management System (UNRMS), which is aligned with the SDGs of the United Nations 2030 Agenda. ICE-SRM EU supports stakeholders at different levels, from the EU to national and regional governments, policy makers, GSOs, industry, etc. in their development in line with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Paris Climate Agreement. ICE-SRM EU also provides support on data reporting requirements as defined by the Critical Raw Materials Act.
EuroGeoSurveys and the Geological Survey of Slovenia will host the launch of the new ICE-SRM EU, featuring invited speakers from DG GROW and UNECE, a panel discussion, and the official signing ceremony.
